Watchfolio ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our mobile application, Watchfolio.
1. Information We Collect
- a. Personal & Account Information (Google & Apple Sign-In): You can use Watchfolio offline without creating an account. However, if you choose to enable cloud synchronization, we require you to sign in using your Google or Apple account. When you do so, we collect your email address, name, profile picture (for Google), and a unique user identifier provided by the authentication provider. This is used to create and manage your user account.
- b. Watch Collection & Sync Data: When cloud synchronization is enabled, the watch details you input (names, purchase prices, purchase dates, notes) and images you upload (photos, warranty cards, receipts) are securely transmitted to and stored on our cloud servers. If you use the app without signing in, all watch collection data is stored strictly locally on your device.
- c. Lume AI Data: When you use Lume features (Watch of the Day suggestions, Collection Insights, or Market Valuation), we process the information needed to generate a response. This may include details of the relevant watches (brand, model, reference number, year, condition, box and papers, purchase price and currency), your wear statistics, any context you type, any outfit photo you choose to provide, and your preferred currency and country. Generated insights and valuations, together with the inputs used to create them, are stored on our servers and linked to your account.
- d. Subscription & Purchase Information: If you subscribe to Watchfolio Pro, your payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive and store your subscription status, plan, expiration date, and a transaction identifier so we can provide Pro features across your devices.
- e. Usage & Diagnostic Data: We collect app usage events and crash reports (such as device model, operating system version, app version, and a device identifier) to understand how the App is used, fix bugs, and improve stability.
- f. Support & Feedback: If you contact us via email, we collect your email address and the content of your message to resolve your request.
2. Device Permissions
Watchfolio may request the following permissions to function correctly:
- Storage/Photos: To allow you to select and display photos of your watches.
- Camera: To allow you to take new photos of your timepieces for your collection.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, sync, and back up your watch collection.
- To generate Lume suggestions, insights, and market valuations you request.
- To verify your subscription and provide Watchfolio Pro features.
- To monitor app performance, diagnose crashes, and improve the App.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
4. Data Storage & Cloud Services
If you use the app offline, your data is managed through local repositories stored on your device. When you sign in and enable cloud sync, your watch collection data and uploaded assets are securely synchronized and hosted on cloud infrastructure. We implement industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest to ensure your collection remains secure.
5. Data Deletion and Retention
We retain your synced collection data for as long as your account is active. You can request the deletion of your account and all associated cloud-synced data at any time by contacting us at watchfolio.team@gmail.com. Deleting your account also deletes your stored Lume insights and valuations. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Please cancel it through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
